People ask this question two ways in Ottawa: a parent in Barrhaven wants a ballpark for a basement birthday, and an office manager downtown needs a number that will survive the finance department. Both get the same answer. Karaoke Rental Ottawa prices are fixed, published online and the same on both sides of the river, and the total is built from a package, a delivery fee by driving time, any extra days, any add-ons, taxes and, in December, a surcharge. This guide explains each piece so the number in the availability checker makes sense the first time you see it.
The package sets the base
Every rental starts from one of three packages, listed with current prices on the home pricing page and the event pricing page.
- Home Superstar: private households, up to 20 guests, speaker, two microphones, a basic party light and the 67,000+ song library, connected to your own TV. The right base for a Glebe living room, an Alta Vista rec room or a chalet in Chelsea.
- Event Basic: offices, party rooms, restaurants, community halls and campus rooms, up to 40 guests, with its own 22-inch screen added.
- Event Superstar: the same rooms and guest counts with two wireless microphones, deluxe party lights, the 22-inch screen and an 80-inch projector. This is the base for a government-area boardroom, a Rockland reception hall or a hotel meeting room in Gloucester.
Package prices are fixed and do not change by neighbourhood, so the pricing pages are the place to compare them. The rest of this article is about what gets added.
Delivery: minutes from our base, on either side of the river
Delivery fees start at $29 and are set by driving time from our Ottawa base. Nepean, Gloucester and the Quebec side in Hull, Aylmer and Chelsea are usually the shortest trips; Orléans, Kanata, Manotick and Stittsville sit in the middle; Rockland, Russell, Carleton Place, Kemptville and Arnprior are at the outer edge of the regular zone. Event packages carry a slightly higher delivery fee than Home Superstar. The delivery areas page lists every community with an approximate drive band, and the availability checker shows the exact fee for your address and date before checkout, whether the address is in Ontario or Quebec. A Gatineau booking goes through the same Ottawa site; there is no separate process for crossing the bridge.
Beyond roughly 45 minutes from downtown, request a delivery quote or arrange customer pickup. Pickup removes the delivery fee entirely, which can make sense for a cottage weekend farther up the valley.
Extra days, the December surcharge, add-ons and tax
A booking covers one night. Extra days are $99 each on Home Superstar and $199 each on Event Basic or Event Superstar, with one delivery at the start and one pickup at the end, so a Friday-to-Sunday rental in Kanata is a single trip for the driver and a single line on your invoice.
A December surcharge applies to delivery on Christmas-period dates and appears automatically in the checker; nobody discovers it after the fact. Add-ons are priced separately and entirely optional: an extra speaker for a long hall, extra wireless microphones, or a 22-inch screen. Taxes are calculated at checkout and shown before payment. The package prices online are before delivery and tax, so the checkout screen, not the pricing page, is the number to put in your budget.
Card, quote or invoice with a PO
The online booking page takes Visa, Mastercard and American Express, from six months ahead to two days before the party. If your workplace, department, association or campus group pays on invoice, use the event quote page for a formal quote. Approve it by email, pay through a secure invoice link, and add a PO number if you need one; quote bookings require no deposit. A quote is also the route for an address outside the regular zone.
Cancellation, and what costs nothing extra
Cancellations more than two weeks before the rental get a full refund less 10%. From two weeks down to 48 hours before, the refund is 50%. Inside 48 hours there is no refund. For December, that policy is one more reason to book as soon as your date is known and adjust later if needed rather than wait.
Included in every rental at no extra charge: delivery and setup by the driver in your chosen window, a sound test, a walkthrough of the phone queue, cables and adapters for your TV and for playing a playlist between songs, phone support for the whole rental, a replacement if a fault cannot be fixed remotely, and pickup at the arranged time, usually the next day.
