How we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you rent a karaoke machine from us.

This policy explains what personal information Ottawa collects when you use this website or rent equipment from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
We follow Quebec's privacy law (Law 25) and Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA). We collect only what we need to provide the rental service, we never sell your personal information, and you can contact us at any time about the information we hold.
What we collect
We collect the following information when you book, request a quote, or contact us:
- Identity and contact details — your name, email address, and phone number.
- Booking details — delivery address, rental dates, package and add-ons, and any notes you send us.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe; we receive confirmation and the last digits of your card but never store full card numbers.
- Communications — emails and text messages you exchange with us, so we can follow up on your booking.
- Technical data — cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy; optional ones stay off until you opt in.
How we use it
We use your information to confirm and deliver your rental, coordinate delivery and pickup with our drivers, send receipts and booking reminders, answer your questions, meet legal and tax obligations, and — only with your consent — send occasional promotions. We do not use your personal information for any unrelated purpose.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the business: Stripe (payments), Mailgun (email delivery), VoIP.ms (text messages), and Google (address lookup and, with your consent, analytics). The delivery driver assigned to your booking receives your name, address, and phone number to complete the delivery. We never sell or rent your personal information.
Where it is stored
Our booking system is hosted on servers we control. Some providers (Stripe, Google, Microsoft, Meta) may store or process information outside Quebec and outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to local laws.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize them. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent to optional uses (like marketing), or ask us to delete information we no longer need. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC).
How we protect it
Your information is encrypted in transit, stored in access-controlled systems, and only available to staff who need it to serve you.
